LEAN: New York Jets +10 vs New England Patriots

Here is the YouTube video version of this prediction.

New England's opponents have a combined 10-23 record. They have beaten the abysmal Dolphins, the Jets with Luke Falk at the helm, the lowly Redskins and the Giants who were without Saquon Barkley and their entire receiving corps.

They did get solid wins against the Steelers and at Buffalo. I'm not saying the Pats are not a good team; they are pretty strong. But they have showed some weaknesses and may not be as good as people think.

Meanwhile, the Jets played with both their top offensive player, Sam Darnold, and their top defensive player, C.J. Mosley, for just three quarters. During this time, they took a 16-0 lead over the Bills. Then, Mosley went down to an injury, and that opened the flood gates. Buffalo came back to win 17-16.

In New York's next three games, they were without Darnold and Mosley. There's no point looking at those games when handicapping tonight's matchup against the Patriots.

Darnold came back last week, and the Jets beat a good Cowboys team.

To me, a 10-point spread seems pretty big.

There's just one thing that prevents me from betting the Jets. Do you really want to bet against New England and mastermind Bill Belichick when they get additional days of rest, and more time for gameplanning after playing last Thursday?

My final advice: either stay away from this game, or bet the Jets cautiously.

If you really want some action in tonight's game, I much prefer betting some player props. I've got 4 good ones for you right here (look at the bottom of the page).

Enjoy the game!
