NFL Week #6 (2018 season)

NFL WEEK #6

BY PROFESSOR MJ

University Professor. PhD in stats. Proud dad of 2 boys.

 Hello my friends!

We won both of our 4-star plays last week, but lost both of our 3-star picks so we finished the week with a 2-2 record. Our overall record this season is now 9-3, which amounts to a 75.0% winning percentage.

In case you are interested, here is a breakdown of the picks won/lost per star rating thus far this season:

  • 5 stars: 0-0
  • 4 stars: 4-0
  • 3 stars: 3-2
  • 2 stars: 2-1
  • 1 star: 0-0

System on Totals

The method went 1-1 last week, so the season’s overall record now stands at 6-2.

According to this system, we should be taking over 45 Colts-Jets and over 59 Chiefs-Pats.

Week #6 Picks

I have found just two picks worth betting this week, but they are both rated 4 stars. The cost is only $20 USD and you can get them here.

Here are a couple of “leans” (unofficial picks, which are not quite profitable enough):

  • Denver Broncos +7 against the Los Angeles Rams. I am not comfortable laying such a high-octane offense like the Rams. However, notice they could experience a letdown after two key wins over the Vikings and divisional rivals Seahawks in Seattle. The Broncos should be extra motivated after such a flat performance against the Jets.
  • Carolina Panthers +1 at the Washington Redskins. I like the fact that Carolina just played three games in a row at home (well rested), while the Skins are playing on a shorter week after playing in New Orleans last Monday. Washington could also be looking ahead to an anticipated meeting with Dallas. But they could bounce back after a disastrous outing against the Saints on national television.

Thanks for reading and don’t forget to get my top two picks of the week!
