Hello sports investors, I don’t see any profitable play tonight in the NBA but I thought I would give you a little bit of insight regarding the Celtics-Nets game. I am actually leaning towards Brooklyn, but I won’t make any official picks on this one. I especially like the very clear sandwich game for Boston, as they are coming off a tough game against the Raptors and might be looking ahead to an exciting matchup with the Warriors. Under such circumstances, it can be easy to overlook tonight’s match versus the Nets.

The status of Kyrie Irving is unclear at the time of this writing. If he plays, my projected lines are Boston -9.3 versus Nets +9.3, whereas if he misses the game the projections become Boston -7 versus Nets +7. Since the actual spread is 7.5 (as of 10:40 am), I am going to stay away from this one. D’Angelo Russell, Brooklyn’s leading scorer, has been ruled out because of knee injury.

Please note that the Celtics have won the past five meetings with Brooklyn, but they have gone 2-3 against the spread in those matchups. As a matter of fact, the Nets have beaten the spread on five of the past seven meetings with the Celtics.
