FREE MLB PREDICTION CONTEST

 

Hello baseball fans!

I'm super stoked to introduce a free prediction contest where you can win 100$ USD! I hope many of you will participate and have fun!

The rules are pretty simple:

• Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday you need to pick five (5) teams that you believe will win.
• You must assign a level of confidence between 1 and 5 to each pick. If you select level 5 and your team wins, you get 5 points; otherwise you lose 5 points.
• You must choose each of the five levels of confidence every day (i.e. you must pick levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 once, each day).
• Your picks have to be sent at the latest at noon Eastern Time (except the very first day of the contest, May 23, where you have until 7pm), even if you only intend to pick teams that are playing late (I don't want to have to deal with different starting times each day).
• You must send your picks via email at professormj@hotmail.com.
• If a contestant sends his five picks but forgets about the levels of confidence, the first pick mentioned will be assigned level 5, the second pick mentioned will be assigned level 4, and so on.
• The contest starts Tuesday May 23, 2017 and ends Saturday July 29, 2017 (for a total of 10 weeks). You are welcome to join the contest even if it has already started.
• The participant with the most accumulated points wins 100$ USD. If there is a tie, the tiebreaking rule is the total number of winning picks. If any tie persists, the prize will be split.
• No need to signup for the contest; just email me on the first day of the contest and all of the following Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (you can submit your picks in advance if you wish, just make sure you mention the date).
• The last and final rule: HAVE FUN!!!

I will update the standings once in a while (as often as time permits).
