Free MLB Picks Tuesday June 27, 2023

I’ve got 2 more MLB picks for you today, Tuesday June 27, but unfortunately none qualifies under the famous “Scoring Drought” betting system that has generated 21 straight wins. Maybe tomorrow?

SYSTEM PICK #1: Oakland A's (@ +123 odds, vs New York Yankees)

All right, today’s first system pick goes to the Oakland A’s who fit under “The Blowout #3” betting strategy that produces an average of just 20 wagers per season. In other words, when the opportunity presents itself, you’ve got to take it! That’s why I have decided to make it an official pick for today!

The rules of this betting angle are as follows: bet a team that got destroyed by a margin of at least 11 runs in its previous game, provided that they are facing a different opponent today.

In Oakland’s last game, they lost 12-to-1 in Toronto. Since they are now facing another squad, the Yankees, “The Blowout #3” strategy recommends grabbing them today.

Aaron Judge has already been ruled out of the series with a torn ligament in a big toe. During his absence, New York has posted a disappointing 8-10 record.

Paul Blackburn will start for Oakland, who has made two impressive starts at home this year. First, he gave up just one run against a tough Atlanta Braves lineup before surrendering just two runs to the Rays. In two career starts against the Bronx Bombers, Blackburn has obtained a solid 2.70 ERA.

Rookie Johny Brito draws the start for New York. He is coming off one of his best outings of the season, but prior to that he wasn’t all that good.

Did you know that the Yankees held a 5-13 record during their last 18 games in Oakland? That’s a jaw-dropping statistic!

I am aware that betting the A’s does not feel comfortable at all. Since racking up seven consecutive victories, they have gone 1-10.

Still, I trust “The Blowout #3” system very much. This year it has produced a 3-2 record despite getting average odds of +144. Last year, we had 16 qualifying plays whose return on investment turned out to be +10%.

I’m riding with the system and I’m putting my hard-earned money on Oakland today.

Final decision: Official pick

SYSTEM PICK #2: Cincinnati Reds (@ +120 odds, at Baltimore Orioles)

Up next, “The Pummeled Pitchers” system recommends taking the Reds. Do I like this play? Not at all, so I’m going to stay away from it.

Andrew Abbott started his career with three straight scoreless outings despite getting just 12 strikeouts versus 9 walks, which was not reassuring. Then, he allowed three runs to the Rockies in his last start. I believe he is about to get bombarded by the Orioles.

Moreover, Baltimore will start Tyler Wells, who has been one of the best pitchers in baseball in 2023. Like I said yesterday when I picked the Orioles, I believe the Reds’ confidence is shaken after losing a few consecutive games following their awesome 12-game winning streak. If forced to bet, I would actually side with Baltimore here.

Final decision: Avoid

SYSTEM PICK #3: Los Angeles Angels -0.5 first 5 innings (@ -128 odds, vs Chicago White Sox)

My final betting tip is not backed by any of my 19 betting systems. After doing my due diligence about this matchup, I placed a bet on the Angels’ first 5 innings run line against the Chicago White Sox.

L.A. has an 11-3 record the last 14 times they faced a right-handed pitcher. Meanwhile, the White Sox have won a single game in their past six road games against righties.

Shohei Ohtani will take the mound. In two career starts against Chicago, he has a tiny 0.87 ERA. His counterpart, Michael Kopech, has struggled a lot against the Angels in his career, as shown by his 5.27 ERA in four appearances.

I would also like to bring up the fact that Chicago has played .500 baseball at home, but they have performed very badly on the road. Indeed, they hold a 14-26 record, a 35% winning rate.

Final decision: Official pick

So, in summary, my two official picks for today are:

  • Oakland A’s full game moneyline;
  • Angels -0.5 run for the first five innings.
